          6 P.M. – 10 P.M. ON THURSDAY,

          AUGUST 4th, 2011

 

 

  • MAXIMUM FIELD IS 64 TEAMS (THE 23 POINT RULE APPLIES).
  • MODIFIED SINGLE ELIMINATION.
  • APA NATIONAL RULES APPLY.
  • PREREGISTERED IS REQUIRED (SEE BELOW).
  • PLAYERS MUST BE ON AN ACTIVE (SUMMER SESSION) APA ROSTER IN 8-BALL.
  • $300 ENTRY FEE PER TEAM
  • PAYBACK TO THE TOP 25% OF THE FIELD
  • PLAYERS MAY ONLY PARTICIPATE ON ONE TEAM (MINIMUM 6 PLAYERS/MAXIMUM 8 PLAYERS PER TEAM).
  • ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE TWENTY (20) ACTUAL LEAGUE SCORES IN THE 8-BALL FORMAT WITHING THE LAST TWO YEARS (10 SCORES FROM 8-BALL AND 10 SCORES FROM 9-BALL  WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED 20 SCORES).
  • THESE TEAMS DO NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR WEEKLY TEAMS. YOU CAN MIX AND MATCH PLAYERS IN THE HUDSON VALLEY APA.
  • 3 HOUR SUDDEN DEATH IS IMPLEMENTED.
  • START TIME IS 8 am FRIDAY MORNING.

THIS TOURNAMENT IS A “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE” EVENT. EACH APA LEAGUE IN THE NORTHEAST AREA HAS ITS NUMBER OF ENTRIES. OUR APA LEAGUE AREA HAS 5 SLOTS IN THIS TOURNAMENT. THE ONLY WAY THAT WE CAN MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS GOING TO BE A TRUE “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE” EVENT IS TO HAVE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS ON OUR WEBSITE.

 

IN ORDER TO DO THE REGISTRATION PROCESS ON OUR WEBSITE, YOU MUST HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON THE SITE. TO DO THIS, WE MUST HAVE YOUR DATE OF BIRTH AND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ON RECORD HERE IN THE OFFICE. SEND THAT INFO. IN AN EMAIL TO   RMCALEER@HUDSONVALLEYAPA.COM   SO WE CAN UPDATE YOUR PROFILE WITH IT. AFTER YOU DO THIS, YOU’LL BE ABLE TO GO ONTO THE SITE AND MAKE YOUR ACCOUNT. THIS INFORMATION IS BEING GIVEN TO YOU WITH PLENTY OF TIME TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT ON THE SITE.

 

REMEMBER, IF YOU DON’T HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON OUR SITE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER A TEAM FOR THE EVENT!

 

            HERE ARE SOME KEY THINGS. FIRST, REMEMBER, WE ONLY HAVE 5 AVAILABLE SLOTS. SECOND, THIS IS “FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE”. THIRD, READ THE BULLETS ABOVE. LASTLY, THE TEAM THAT YOU CAN HAVE IN THE EVENT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THE SAME AS YOUR WEEKLY TEAM. IT CAN BE ANY APA MEMBERS THAT ARE ON AN ACTIVE TEAM IN THE SUMMER SESSION. YOU CAN MIX AND MATCH PLAYERS FROM DIFFERENT TEAMS. WHEN REGISTERING THE TEAM, HAVE ONLY ONE MEMBER OF THAT TEAM FILL OUT THE FORM!!! YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST SIX (6) NAMES LISTED ON THE TEAM IN ORDER FOR THE REGISTRATION TO GO THROUGH!

 

            THE SITE WILL KEEP TRACK OF ALL THE ENTRIES BY THE EXACT TIME AS THEY REGISTER. IT WILL ALSO KEEP A BACKUP LIST IN THE EVENT THAT TEAMS DO NOT FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AFTER REGISTERING A TEAM. AFTER YOU REGISTER, YOU HAVE TO SEND IN THE ENTRY FEE AND ALL TEAM INFORMATION PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE SITE.

 

            BELOW IS THE DATE AND TIME THAT THE REGISTRATION PROCESS WILL BEGIN FOR THE 2010 NORTHEAST CHALLENGE. THE LINK FOR THE REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE IN THE LEFT HAND MENU OF THE SITE. REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE BEFORE THE BELOW TIME. REMEMBER, YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT. DON’T WASTE TIME. GOOD LUCK!!!
